N Seoul Tower
The analysis of the architectural and lighting design of N Seoul Tower reveals a harmonious integration between the tower's landscape lighting and the surrounding low-rise landscape, creating a sense of stability from a distance. The design aims to offer a new experiential landscape through open spaces at mid-range and close proximity. For the low-rise landscape, the Wall Washer lighting technique was employed to emphasize the mass and aesthetic beauty of the architecture, fostering a soft yet subtle atmosphere. This approach added vibrancy to the landscape by incorporating colors of light that change over time. Additionally, on-and-off lighting was used for the outdoor stairs to enhance their linearity and highlight the architectural features of the tower's open spaces. Inside the elevator, the 'Washer Allegro AC XB RGB' lights are installed to illuminate the interior while exposing it to the outside, giving the building its unique characteristics and enriching its visual appeal. These lighting techniques have helped define the new identity of N Seoul Tower, significantly enhancing the tower's visibility and accessibility by creating an iconic landscape both day and night. This innovative design provides visitors with a memorable experience and contributes to the vibrant cityscape of Seoul.
