Shinsegae Department store Dong Daegu
Shinsegae Department Store's Dongdaegu branch features an architectural design that embodies the concept of "harmony between modern and traditional." It utilizes natural materials, such as glass, metal, and stone, to showcase both sophistication and traditional charm. The unique lighting strategies applied to each material further enhance the characteristics of the space. Notably, the stone portions of the building are highlighted using the wall grazing technique, which accentuates the stone's patterns. This lighting draws attention to the texture and beauty of natural materials, adding a luxurious feel. The glass facade maximizes the effects of reflection and transmission through strategic lighting, creating a striking visual experience. This modern element not only enhances the building's exterior but also allows for a distinct atmosphere during both day and night. Additionally, the bridge leading to the Shinsegae Dongdaegu Complex Transfer Center features Archion P1 lighting, making it a visual highlight for passersby. The combination of this lighting with the overall design of the Dongdaegu branch results in a modern and original space.
