About Project

Daejeon Golfzone

The Daejeon Golf Zone is an exceptional structure that won the Gold Award at the 18th Daejeon City Architecture of the Year Awards. It serves as a landmark in Daejeon. The building showcases its identity through a unique elevation design that features a combination of circular and white ceramic panels along with a sloping, amorphous volume, effectively representing the shape and nature of a golf ball. Notably, the circular perforated section is adorned with flexible lighting designed to prevent visibility from the outside. This creates a stunning atmosphere, allowing twinkling light to flow through the perforations at night. As a result, the lighting effect elevates the Daejeon Golf Zone to a cultural symbol beyond that of a mere building.
