About Project

The Heritage

The Heritage is a project that reinterprets a Neo-Baroque building built in 1935 with a modern approach, emphasizing architectural details through lighting design. The exterior features warm color temperature lighting that highlights the texture of the stone, while Archion P3 uplights emphasize the building's vertical lines, and Archion L3 fixtures installed on the upper sections create a dazzling silhouette. This design allows the building to stand out distinctly even in the heart of Myeong-dong. The interior preserves the cultural heritage value while functioning as a shopping center. The Chanel stores on the 1st and 2nd floors use premium indirect lighting to enhance the brand image elegantly. The museum and gallery on the 4th floor are equipped with customized lighting for immersive exhibition viewing. Finally, House of Shinsegae on the 5th floor uses a combination of ELR downlights, track lights, and Archion L1 indirect lighting to create a sensuous space to blend traditional Korean sentiment with contemporary sensibilities through a completion of a warm mood lighting.
